Electric Picture specializes in simulation and display solutions, offering cutting-edge technologies for military and commercial entities. From Mallard PictureBlend to Hydra Stands, their innovative products push the boundaries of simulation design. We are proud to have worked with their company to build their new firmware software that allowed web-based control and configuration of their units.
The Challenge
The company needed a customized software solution to reconfigure their hardware and control their innovative display systems. The system needed to be easy to use, user-friendly, and scalable.
The Solution
To meet these challenges, Nerdy South Inc. built a customized firmware software that powers a web-based portal where users can login and control the device similar to a modern router.
- Created a beautiful, branded software solution that runs through client’s browsers
- Built-in network scan and APIs to add new devices quickly and easily
- Added redundant database storage mechanisms to prevent catastrophic issues if a device fails
- Interfaces directly with hardware through GPIO interface to perform physical operations on units
The Results
Electric Picture now has a beautiful and tailored software application that makes it easy for their users to configure Electric Picture’s devices, is built in a modern stack that will continue to work indefinitely. And our company enjoyed working on this project more than anything else we’ve done this year, it has been a fun and challenging project that we’re happy to have been a part of.
