Greater Palm Bay
Senior Activity Center
The Greater Palm Bay Senior Center serves as a hub for older adults in Brevard County, offering programs, activities, and resources that promote community, health, and independence. Their existing website was outdated, difficult to navigate, and not mobile-friendly, making it hard for seniors and their families to access important information. Nerdy South Inc. was brought in to redesign and modernize the website, ensuring accessibility, clear navigation, and a warm, community-focused feel.
The Challenge
The design was not mobile-friendly, making it hard for seniors and their families to access important information on phones and tablets. Navigation was confusing, and details about programs, events, and resources were buried or missing entirely. For staff, updating the site was a frustrating process that required extra time and technical know-how. On top of these issues, the site lacked proper search engine optimization, limiting its visibility among Palm Bay and Brevard County residents who were actively looking for senior services online.

The Solution
To meet these challenges, Nerdy South Inc. developed a complete redesign and rebuild of the Palm Bay Senior Center website.
- Created a fresh, accessible design and made sure the mobile version was clean and easy to use.
- Integrated simple event calendar and contact forms to help the staff manage updates easily.
- Refreshed content to target relevant keywords for local users.
- Created optimized meta data and improved page speed.
- Trained staff on how to add / update events, news, and contact pages.
The Results
The Palm Bay Senior Center now has a modern, accessible website that better reflects its mission and makes it easier for the community to engage with their programs. The new design lays a strong foundation for improved usability, search visibility, and community outreach. Seniors and their families can now find information more easily, and staff have the tools to keep content up to date without outside assistance. We’re excited to track the impact of these changes over the coming months and expect to see increases in event registrations, online inquiries, and local search rankings as the site continues to grow.
